Post Eugene Oregon Presentation on Robotic Warfare, 4/12 @ 7pm
.Challenging Robotic Warfare & Social Control

April 12 (Monday) at 7pm, Harris Hall downtown Eugene.

Free and open to the public, donations towards traveling expenses welcome.

I highly recommend that people attend this presentation if possible. The issue of Robotic Warfare and the implications on humanity are a deeply troubling matter. If you can't make it, I'll be video taping the presentation and posting it the next day on my Vimeo channel here:

This presentation is happening just a few days before a Conference on Robotic Warfare, the nations first such regional gathering to discuss what I view as a deeply disturbing trend, one that dehumanizes humanity by eliminating mercy, compassion and remorse from the act of killing, regardless of whether such killing is sponsored by state or corporation. Please join us, and help stop this.

Biography of presenter Peter Lumsdaine:

Peter Lumsdaine has worked for more than 20 years as a researcher, organizer, photographer, lecturer and writer with nonprofit organizations addressing peace and international security, as well as global economic, ecological and cultural issues.

After completing his University of California resource science degree and employment in US Department of Energy grant programs, he worked for private businesses and on the staff of nonprofits including Global Exchange and the Resource Center for Nonviolence. and has also served as interim co-pastor of a Mennonite church.
His work has taken him to urban and rural areas throughout the United States, as well as to Korea, Japan, Jordan, and to armed conflict zones in Guatemala, the Philippines, eight states of south-central Mexico, and the Shiite heartland of occupied Iraq.

Lumsdaine has conducted unauthorized investigations into advanced weapons and surveillance programs within the security zones of US Strategic Command facilities, and has also gathered information from inside the US prison system.

In 2009 he organized the national Alliance to Resist Robotic Warfare & Society (ARROWS), the first organization of its kind, and initiated planning for the first civil society conference ever held on challenging robotic warfare.
